During my recent visit to Athens, I found the Sparti Hotel, a hidden gem that's hard to overlook, especially for budget-conscious travelers like me. Situated just a short stroll from the bustling Piraeus Port, the hotel's charm is undeniable, with walls adorned in local art that lends the place a quirky character. At around 40 euros a night, I opted for a room without a private bathroom. Although this may deter some, the cleanliness and comfort more than compensated for it. The shared kitchen was a nice touch, allowing me to whip up a quick breakfast with the provided electric kettle and tea facilities. The 24-hour reception made checking in a breeze, and the general atmosphere, combined with friendly staff, created a welcoming vibe. While it may not boast luxury in the conventional sense, the value for money and unique experience make Sparti Hotel a wise choice for a short stay in Athens.
